Meet Our Boulevard Bride: Julia

Happy Wedding Wednesday! I am seriously so excited to share today’s featured bride with you. Julia is one of our favorite brides here at Boulevard Bride. She has the kindest heart and looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day. Scroll down to learn a little bit about her love story and to see her beautiful wedding pictures (and her cute husband).

What is your husband’s name?

Ethan Nevins

When and where did you get married?

10/20/17

“Our ceremony was at the Conservatory and we had our reception in the Cascade Ballroom at the Heart of St. Charles.”

Did you have a theme for your wedding?

“Our theme was essentially fall/autumn”

Who was your photographer?

“Zoe Life Photography, and she is the bomb dot com. She is incredible!”

Who did your hair and makeup?

“My hair was done by Caitie Stark at JuJu B’s Salon. My makeup was done by Ashley Caito, a family friend who used to be a makeup artist for MAC.”

How did you two meet?

“We actually met when Ethan started working at Starbucks. I had already been a barista for several years and he started working at the same store in Lake Saint Louis.”

When did you know that he was the one?

“I don’t think there was ever one specific moment that made me think Ethan was ‘the one.’ I just realized one day that I always wanted him in my life and I couldn’t imagine not spending every day with him.”

Tell us about the proposal!

“Earlier in the week of the proposal, we had planned a date night to see The Jungle Book. It had just come out and I’m a huge Disney nerd, so we made a plan to go see it that Friday since we were both off. I think it was Wednesday or Thursday that he suggested we go out for drinks afterwards and I was more than okay with that. Fast forward to us leaving the theater and heading to VB’s Chocolate Bar. Little did I know that he had planned to propose there! He had secretly ordered a beautiful and delicious dessert and the staff put the ring box on the silver tray with the dessert! He took the box, got on one knee, and asked me to marry him. It was such a sweet evening!”

What was your first dance song? Why?

“We went back and forth with our first dance song, but we decided on “Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop” by Landon Pigg. Since we actually did meet and fall in love at a coffee shop, I thought it was a perfect balance of sweet, cheesy, and easy to dance to.”

What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?

“My favorite memory from my wedding day was just getting to marry the love of my life and being able to spend the day with so many loved ones. Over half of our guests came from out of town, so it was so wonderful celebrating with them.”

What is the best part about being married?

“The best part about being married is that I get to grow up and go through life with the best partner I could ever ask for. It’s a great feeling knowing that I’m sharing my life with someone I love so much.”

Do you have any advice for engaged couples?

“My advice would be to enjoy every moment with each other, and realize that throughout this crazy life it won’t always be sunshine and roses. It’s important to never lose sight of how much you love your partner, no matter what like throws your way.”
