Do I need an appointment to try on bridal gowns?
Yes, please! At Boulevard Bride we strive to make your experience as personal as possible. An appointment allows us to get to know you and what you are looking for in a wedding dress.

Can we take pictures?
We suggest only taking pictures of the dress(es) that the bride really loves. If you start taking pictures of dresses that aren’t in the running for “The Dress”, it can get very confusing.
When taking pictures we ask that you do not take pictures of any tags inside our outside of the dress.
I have bridesmaids from out of town... how do they order their dresses?
Don’t stress about out-of-town bridesmaids, we make it easy! Your bridesmaids will go to a seamstress and get bust, waist, and hip measurements. They will send their measurements to firstname.lastname@example.org. Once we receive their measurements, we will call for the down-payment and then get the dresses ordered!
We cannot stress enough how important it is for your bridesmaids to get measured by a professional seamstress. These measurements determine the size of dress that they are ordered.
What sizes are your dresses?
We try to have a wide range of dress sizes for all body types!
- Our wedding dress samples range from a size 2-28. Bridal sizes tend to run a bit small, so don’t be surprised when you are fitting into a gown that is 1-2 sizes higher than your normal size.
- Our bridesmaids dresses range from a size 00-30. Bridesmaids dresses also run similar to wedding dresses… so the size that fits you may be 1-2 sizes higher than your normal size.
- Our prom dresses range from 00-28. We always suggest trying on dresses in your normal size and also trying a size up and size down. The way dress sizes fit may vary depending on the designer.
Who should I bring to my bridal appointment?
Our store comfortably fits up to 5 guests per bridal appointment. This number allows us to get to know you and your guests. This is also the perfect number of guests to get support from so that you do not feel overwhelmed by so many different oppinions. We see too often brides who fall in love with a dress and want to say ‘yes to the dress,’ only to be talked out of it by a member of their party. This day is about YOU and what YOU feel gorgeous in!
Can we bring our own champagne or wine?
We do not allow outside food or drinks in our store. We have so many pretty white dresses that we do not want damaged (we can tell you some horror stories!). On special occasions we do provide appetizers and champagne.
Our location in The Meadows is perfect for celebrating after your appointment! You can choose from several amazing restaurants to says ‘cheers’ at after saying yes to the dress.
Will my dress need alterations? Do you provide alterations?
99% percent of brides and bridesmaids will need some type of alterations done to their dresses. All wedding and bridesmaids dresses are made for girls 5’11 and taller… so unless you have been gifted with height, you will definitely want your dress hemmed. Many times brides will also need to have their wedding dress taken out and/or taken in, and have the straps adjusted. We do not do any of these alterations in-house, but we can provide you with seamstress recommendations. We suggest calling multiple seamstresses to see which one you like best, and feel 100% confident with entrusting your wedding dress.
How far in advance should I order my dress?
In a perfect world we would have every bride order her dress a year in advance. Wedding dresses take an average of 6-9 months to come in. Once it comes in, you also have to take into account the 1-2 months of alterations.
Of course we know that not everyone is picking out their dress a year in advance. If you have a wedding date that is quickly approaching, we will work with you to find an off-the-rack dress or talk with our vendors about other options.
Can I stop in and browse the dresses?
We prefer that you book a bridal appointment to get the full experience. A lot of times dresses look very different on you versus how they look hanging in a dress bag.
Can my mom or another guest help me get into the dresses?
We ask that your mom and any other guests just relax and enjoy the experience of watching you try on wedding dresses. Our staff members are available to help you into the dresses if you need any help. We do this all day every day so there is no need to feel uncomfortable. If you prefer though, you can get into the dress on your own and then let the associate come in to zip you up or tie your corset.
