Do I need an appointment to try on bridal gowns?
We do require appointments in order to try on bridal gowns. At Boulevard Bride, we strive to make your experience as personalized as possible. An appointment allows us to get to know you and what you’re looking for in a wedding dress. Walk-Ins will only be accommodated if we have a stylist and dressing room free. Our weekends usually book up quickly, making it very difficult to allow walk-ins.
What’s your average bridal gown price?
At our flagship store, Boulevard Bride, our prices range from $800-$3400, with our average price being between $1700-$2300. At our off-the-rack store, One Love Bridal, all of our gowns are priced under $999.
Do you carry plus size dress?
Yes! Our bridal sample sizes range from sizes 6-28. Our prom gowns sizes range from sizes 000-26, and our Mother’s gowns range from sizes 6-26W. Our bridal and mother’s gowns can be ordered in sizes 0-34W. It is incredibly important to us that all of our clients feel welcomed and comfortable in our store, regardless of size! We have hand selected our plus size collection to include dresses with the best construction and support possible.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes we do! We are very excited to announce our new payment plans. We are now able to customize a plan that works for you. Depending on the amount of time we have to order your gown, we can offer a 3, 6, or 9 month interest free automatic payment plan. Ask your stylist at checkout if this is something you are interested in.
Should I shop at Boulevard Bride or One Love Bridal?
Our stores have very different things to offer. Boulevard Bride is our flagship store, where we offer a large selection of samples to try on. When you’ve found a dress you love, we will special order it in your size. One Love Bridal is our off-the-rack store, built for brides that do not have time to order a gown, and for brides that love a good deal! Both stores have entirely different stock and do not overlap. Your ideal price point and wedding planning timeline will determine which of our stores you should shop at.
Can we take pictures?
We ask that you wait until the end of the appointment to take photos. We like our brides to live in the moment and focus on the process of choosing a gown. Once you’ve found the perfect one, our stylists are happy to assist you in taking all the photos you’d like!
Can we bring our own food or drinks?
We do not allow outside food or drinks in our store. We have so many pretty white dresses that we do not want damaged. We do offer appointment upgrades that do include small charcuterie boards and mimosas for you and your party to enjoy. Our location in The Meadows is perfect for celebrating after your appointment, as there are many restaurants to say ‘cheers’ at after saying yes to the dress!
How long are your appointments?
Our bridal appointments are 1.5-2 hours long. Our prom and mother’s appointments are 45 minutes to an hour long. We have found that this length is the perfect amount of time to find the perfect dress for whichever occasion you’re shopping for.
Will my dress need alterations and are those included in the price of the dress?
99% of brides and mothers will need some type of alterations done to their dress. All wedding and mother’s dresses are made with a length to fit 5’11” and taller, so most people will need a hem. Other common alterations include strap shortening, bodice taken in or let out, and bustle added. The cost of alterations are NOT included in the price of the dress. We do offer a list of recommended seamstresses in our area as a courtesy.
How far in advance should I order my dress?
In a perfect world, every bride would place an order for their gown a year in advance. Wedding dresses can take up to 9 months to come in. They can also arrive in as little as 2-3 months. In order to have no limitations when shopping with us, we recommend that you start shopping 12-14 months in advance from your wedding. The sooner you’re able to order your dress, the better.
Can my mom or another guest help me in the dressing room?
We ask that your mom and any other guests relax and enjoy the experience of watching you try on wedding dresses. Our stylists are available to help you into the dresses if you’d like, or if you’d feel more comfortable, you can get into the dresses on your own and your stylist can step in to zip, clip, and button you up.
So you found your dress, what’s next?
Congratulations on finding your dream dress! The next time you’ll hear from us is when your dress arrives at our store. Depending on the designer, wedding gowns can take anywhere from 2-9 months to come in. The designer cannot tell us an exact date that your gown will arrive, only an estimated time frame. With that being said, if these ship dates do not work for your wedding timeline, our off-the-rack store, One Love Bridal, will be able to accommodate you.
Once you hear from us, we like for our brides to schedule a try-on appointment within 30 days of the dress arrival. At this appointment, you will be trying on your dress, pay off any additional balance that you may have on your gown, and take your dress home with you. We do offer a variety of bridal packages that your stylist will go over with you during this appointment.
Do you do any returns, refunds or exchanges if I change my mind?
Unfortunately, we are not able to make any changes to your order once it has been placed. Our manufacturers do not allow cancellations or returns, as all of our gowns are specially ordered for you. Please make sure that you are 100% confident in your choice of dress.
