Yaaasss girls!!! It’s April and you know what that means . . . proms are finally happening all around St. Louis! You’ve spent the last few months finding the perfect dress and curating the perfect Prom Pinterest Board full of hairstyles, makeup looks, and manicure ideas. You’ve helped your date pick out a suit or tuxedo that matches perfectly with your dress, and you’ve made reservations at the fanciest of restaurants for your prom night feast. The last thing to plan is the photo op . . . where are you and your girls and/or dates going to take the most Instagram worthy #PROM2K19 photos? Well wonder no more, because we have some great location ideas for your prom photos!
Main Street
St. Charles, Mo
I mean, how could we not start this post with Main Street? Every year around this time Main Street is packed with high schoolers, parents, and grandparents looking to get that perfect prom photos. And why wouldn’t it be?! Main Street is seriously the cutest place and has so many different options for photo backdrops. You can take pictures in Frontier Park, at the Lewis and Clark Boat House, or walking down the cobblestone street. You can even take a few artsy photos in Picasso’s Coffee House or some retro-inspired photos in Little O’s Soda Shop. The possibilities are endless!
Quail ridge park
Wentzville, MO
If you’re looking for a simple backdrop full of the beauty of nature, Quail Ridge Park is the place to go. Quail Ridge is a 250 acre park in Wentzville, Missouri right off of Highway 70. You can take photos along the beautiful pastures or wooded hillsides. If you want to have a little fun with your photos… bring a frisbee or horseshoes to play frisbee golf or horse shoes while you’re getting your pictures taken!
Busch Stadium / ballpark village
St. Louis, mo
Want to get your boyfriend excited about prom pictures? Tell him youre going to Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village! Show your St. Louis pride by posing outside of Busch Stadium with a Cardinals Jersey draped open over your prom dress. Snap some pictures by the statues of famous former Cardinals and then head over to Ballpark Village to snap some more in the Cardinals Nation Hall of Fame and Museum. Bonus points if you can get on the balcony of the Crown Room that overlooks Busch Stadium for some really really really cool pics!
laumeier sculpture park

If you’re looking to take your pictures somewhere out of the box, why not try Laumeier Sculpture Park. Your Instagram pictures are sure to stand out when you post a group photo in front of the Ricardo Cat sculpture by Niki De Saint Phalle! Aside from the intriguing sculptures, Laumeier Sculpture Park also features gorgeous scenery and landscaping.
new town
st. charles, MO
You’re prom photos will look straight out of a story book if you take them in New Town. New Town is an adorable little neighborhood out in the middle-of-nowhere St. Charles. The colorful homes, pretty ponds, and cute city-center make it ideal for snapping breathtaking photos. You can also drive over to GlenMark Farms located in the back of New Town to take some rustic pictures.
forest park
St. Louis, mo
Grab your girl-gang and head to Forest Park for some amazing prom photos! You might want to get there early because the choices for photo locations are huge. You can take pictures on Art Hill, inside the Art Museum, at the Zoo, around the Muny, by the Jewel Box, or at the Worlds Fair Pavilion. No matter which location(s) you choose, you can be sure your photos will be beautiful!
the butterfly house
Chesterfield, mo
Located in Chesterfield, the Butterfly House would be an absolutely enchanting place to take your prom pictures. Take a trip inside the conservatory and have your pictures taken with the almost 2,000 butterflies flying around. You can also take a walk outside to The Native Butterfly Garden where you can take pictures among the beautiful landscaping. Before you head off to dinner, you have to make sure to take a photo by the Mysterious Monarch sculpture and the Loptapillar sculpture.
