Call ahead and ask about sample sizes before you book. A boutique that only carries size 8 and 10 samples will not give you the experience you deserve.

Wear nude undergarments and any shapewear you plan to use on the wedding day. This helps you see the true silhouette of each gown without the distraction of contrasting underwear or visible lines.

Avoid heavy makeup or jewelry. You will be pulling gowns over your head, and you want to see the dress, not yesterday's lipstick on the bodice.

Tell your stylist exactly what you want to try on. If you have a silhouette in mind, say so. If you are nervous about a particular style because a past consultant told you it would not work for your body, tell your stylist that too. A good stylist will listen and guide, not dismiss.
